Greg Schroeder- Head Coach
Coach Schroeder is in his 9th year of coaching with the Bulldogs and is excited for his 4th year with RMS. He is a very familiar face having wrestled for the Bulldogs from 2003-2006. During high school he was 2X All-Conference, a team captain, team MVP and finished his career with a 6th place finish at the State Tournament earning All-State honors. After high school he attended North Central College where he was a 4 year varsity starter, 4X Academic All-Conference, an Academic All-American and team captain. He finished his career with over 100 career wins and is ranked 9th all time at North Central. During his medical redshirt year he was a varsity assistant coach at Plainfield North High School, coaching two state qualifiers. In 2011 he graduated from North Central College with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education and Health and teaches PE/Health at Batavia High School.
John Canfield - Assistant Coach
Coach Canfield has 37 years of coaching experience, the last 18 at Batavia High School. Prior to this he coached the Rotolo Middle School team for 14 years and spent a year each at Yorkville and Oswego High Schools. Coach Canfield wrestled at Richards High School and also at Illinois State University. Coach Canfield is a Physical Education teacher at Rotolo Middle School. He and his wife Rose reside in Geneva and have two children Katie and Sean.
Chris Baima - Assistant Coach
Coach Baima is a recent resisdent of Batavia, having moved here last summer for the school system. He has been married to wife Elisabeth for 10 years and has two kids Teagan (5) currently at AGS and Asher (3). He is employed as a Branch Manager for Alta Equipment a Hyster-Yale forklift dealer. He wrestled for Glendbard west in high school from 1996-2000 (Dungeon master) and was a State qualifier his senior year going 39-5. He was also a member of Team Illinois Cadet/Jr Freestyle/Greco team, 3 years in a row After high school he was a Sr. Northern plains runner up in 2002, beating 2 members of the Olympic trianing center and was part of the NJCAA 2001 National Championship team at Harper College. He is brother to former Northern Iowa wrestler Nick Baima. His hobbies include Video games and Biking/ running. A fun fact is coach Baima was Coach Schroeder's Head wrestling coach in 8th grade.
John Arduino- Assistant Coach
Coach Arduino lives in St. Charles with his wife of 10 years Christina and daughter Lucy (8). John is a special education teacher at Rotolo Middle School and has taught in the district for 7 years. John started wrestling in 2nd grade, following in his older brothers footsteps. Wrestling tournaments and dual meets were part of his life from birth to high school. John was a varsity wrestler for St. Charles his Freshman year, but transferred to Aurora Christian which had no wrestling team at the time, forcing him to concentrate on other sports like - cross country. Today, John is an avid long distance runner, fisherman, and summer traveler. He has grown bigger, faster and stronger than all three of his older brothers, and they all fear him. John is excited to help kids learn discipline, endurance, and grit through wrestling.
Noah Frazier- Assistant Coach
Coach Frazier- Is a former Bulldog competitor and a 2014 graduate. During his time he was a 3 year varsity starter on the Football team and 4-year Varisty wrestler in wrestling. Having a very successful career in both sports. After Graduating from Batavia High school. He attended Wheaton College and played Football there. He graduated from Wheaton College in 2019 and is taking an off year until starting Law school in the future. We are very lucky to have him Coach with us this year.
